BUMED Naval Expeditionary Health Strategic Support
CLIENT RESULTS: As a result of this effort, the Navy Surgeon General approved an organizational realignment within BUMED, establishing the new flag officer-led Capability Development and Integration Directorate in order to implement proposed solutions to achieve expeditionary health “wholeness.” WBB provided this new organization an analysis of JCIDS requirements and acquisition support to successfully stand up the new organization and to implement the Surgeon General’s strategic plan..
VHA Project Management Office (PMO) Support
CLIENT RESULTS: Successfully managed 17 applications (to date) through to initial deployment testing by identifying testing material issues and coordinating dozens of testing SMEs. Applied hundreds of lessons learned leading to immediate development improvements. Created comprehensive VHA end to end process flowchart for patient healthcare used in many user and AHIMA presentations to explain VHA process; Identified hundreds of policies needing remediation and dozens of planning and best practice recommendations.
VHA Office of Connected Health/Care
CLIENT RESULTS: Rapidly established CH Program Office and Governance within 6 months meeting executive directive. Supported over 5 acquisitions (PWS inputs) in 9 months leading to awards. Coordinated the formulation of strategy and messaging within 6 months . Enabled client recognition at public and industry events. Institutionalized Connected Health/Care Operating Plan with Performance Measures, and alignment to Choice Act, myVA, VHA Blueprint for Excellence Strategies, and Undersecretary’s priorities. Enabled launch of mHealth pilots for evaluation and adoption (Caregiver Pilot). Identified and advocated alternate acquisition vehicles leading to faster task order awards.
VHA Product Effectiveness Organizational Knowledge Management Execution
CLIENT RESULTS: Increased knowledge sharing on several key projects leading to improvements in performance and progress toward becoming “learning organizations”. Strengthened PE partnerships with project teams resulting in earlier application of lessons learned and a greater number of actionable lessons and recommendations, both at the project level and at the VHA executive leadership level.
Intensive Care Unit CIS, ARK, Analytics & Databridge
CLIENT RESULTS: VISN solicitations now meet unique VISN requirements and national objectives. Vendor performance metrics are embedded in contracts, and tracked. Through new efforts for a national contract for both CIS and ARK medical equipment resulted in increased solicitation effectiveness, and reduced contract management challenges and savings in VISN contracting personnel costs and time.
Department of Veterans Affairs IT Unfunded Requirements
CLIENT RESULTS: Newly developed UFR budgeting process provides capability to handle large numbers of IT programs of various scope and generate a list, based on priority, that could be accomplished as additional funding of any amount becomes available during budget execution. Increased overall VA IT acquisition efficiency and effectiveness translating into maximized support to the Veteran and improved organizational operations.
VHA Office of Informatics and Analytics (OIA) Mobile Application Requirements Support Study
CLIENT RESULTS: Gained full visibility into importance, quality and workload between VHA organizations. Gained analysis & reporting capability to meet an ever increasing mobile application demand. Provided strong recommendations regarding BRD user stories and wire frame visualizations. Gained first ever reporting capability to provide partners with transparency into their BRD project results and methods behind completion. Provided well-received recommendations on organizational coordination to improve performance to mission.
VHA Health Systems Informatics (HSI) Business Capability Management Board (BCMB)
CLIENT RESULTS: The BCMB presented a prioritized list of validated NSRs to senior HSI leadership. HSI has established a new process that ensures validity of the NSR capability information presented to senior VHA leadership. Detailed and up-to-date data now informs funding decisions for the top VHA business needs. VHA stakeholders needs are now being met in real-time.
