Whitney Bradley & Brown, Inc., (WBB) has appointed Steven Nagel as Vice President of Strategic Pricing. Nagel brings over 30 years of experience in strategic pricing, price-to-win strategies, and cost modeling for Federal Government contracts to WBB’s team.
Nagel’s focus on strategic pricing centers around providing efficient, accurate and competitive pricing, with an emphasis on the underlying psychology of pricing.
“In this competitive landscape, the psychology of pricing is just as important as the art and science behind it,” Nagel said. “Getting into the mind of our competition, while understanding the business, helps drive pricing solutions that are effective, competitive, and most importantly, win proposals.”
“Strategic pricing plays a key role in developing competitive price-to-win proposals,” Mike Perez, WBB’s Chief Development Officer, said. “With Steve in this position we are now able to research and develop pricing models that are favorable to both WBB and our clients.”
Throughout his career, Nagel has successfully led pricing strategy for several large and small defense contractors, including URS Federal Services, Wyle Information Systems, LLP and Catapult Technology, Ltd. Nagel started his career providing financial services to Hughes Aircraft Company and Northrop Grumman.
Nagel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Financial Management, from California State University-Long Beach. Additionally, he has completed training in FAR and Cost Accounting Standards, Price to Win and Strategic Pricing, and Project Management.
