WBB is honored to be recognized as a finalist for Fairfax Chamber of Commerce’s Corporate Citizenship Award for mid-size firms. Presented across eight categories, the awards honor extraordinary business leadership and above-and-beyond corporate social responsibility. Award winners will be announced at the organization’s Annual Chairman’s Luncheon on Thursday, June 4 at The Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner.
WBB is being recognized for its long-standing dedication to the community. Each year, WBB, in partnership with local organizations, raises funds for an all-expense paid retreat for injured service members and their families to bond and relieve the stresses of post-injury life. This year, all proceeds of this fundraiser will go toward a month of amenities and housing for wounded veterans and their families at Boulder Crest Retreat in Bluemont, VA where they will have the opportunity to relax and engage in a variety of activities of their choosing. Most importantly however, they will enjoy the camaraderie and support of each other with the time away from doctors, hospitals, physical therapy sessions, and the like.
“We are honored to have been recognized for this award,” comments Bill McMullen, WBB’s CEO. “We are excited to continue to bring people together for a great cause through our Warrior Gathering initiative.”
