Over 100 guests came out to support Whitney, Bradley & Brown’s (WBB) 4th annual Warrior Gathering Gala on Friday night at the Reston Sheraton Hotel. Guests had the opportunity to learn more about the event’s beneficiary, Boulder Crest Retreat, while participating in a silent auction. Through Warrior Gathering events, WBB has raised more than $150,000 over the last four years.
“I am proud of our WBB employees for supporting such great initiatives,” said Robert L. Olsen, WBB Chief Operating Officer. “Together, our efforts have resulted in widespread awareness and contributions in support of wounded warriors.”
This year, the funds raised will go directly to Boulder Crest Retreat toward housing and amenities for injured service members and their families. Boulder Crest Retreat is a veteran-owned establishment that provides a supportive and healing environment for warriors and their families to enjoy time together away from the clinical settings and prepare for their future with a renewed sense of hope and newfound level of resilience and strength.
Boulder Crest constantly hosts and promotes events and fundraisers in an effort to raise funds for their mission to aid wounded warriors and their families. Founded in November of 2011, Boulder Crest survives off of charitable donations and volunteers who generously support the operations and physical maintenance of the property. As a result of the many veteran-focused initiatives WBB personnel participate in throughout the year, WBB was named a finalist for Fairfax Chamber’s Outstanding Corporate Citizenship award for 2015.
