WBB Hosts 2012 Warrior Gathering At Nemacolin
WBB, in partnership with the Troops First Foundation and the Warrior Canine Connection, will host over 20 Wounded Warriors and their families at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, PA for two days of rest and relaxation. Underwritten by the generous donations of both grateful individual Americans and corporations, this event will feature numerous outdoor sporting and leisure activities such as golf, fly fishing, horseback riding, off-road driving, biking and spa treatments.
The Troops First Foundation develops, operates, and supports a synergistic group of wellness, quality of life, and sports-based initiatives in support of today’s military personnel. These strategically integrated initiatives serve both non-injured and injured military personnel and their families at no cost to them.
The Warrior Canine Connection is a therapeutic service dog training program that harnesses the healing power of the human-animal bond. WCC teaches Service Members with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) the skill of training mobility service dogs to be partnered with Veterans with mobility impairments. Designed to reduce the symptoms of PTSD in the Warriors who train the dogs – and the great news is, it works!
This is the first annual Warrior Gathering by WBB, though the company will continue to sponsor a quarterly night out for wounded Service members and their families along with providing comfort items for these American Heroes.
If you would like to help make this special day even better for our soldiers, please do not hesitate to donate!
