WBB works with local veteran non-profits to target individuals who have recently come out of the military and are having a difficult time adjusting to the civilian world. We actively recruit these personnel due to the large veteran presence we have at WBB and the understanding that it can be difficult to transition from active duty military to a productive member of the workforce. We provide an environment that is understanding of the candidates’ needs and assist them in developing their skills and becoming acclimated to a professional environment.
Establishing the Right Fit
We focus on the transition of the military lifestyle to the workforce objectives, i.e. meeting job obligations, interaction with people in the workforce, developing new skill sets, re-establishing a work routine, etc. We use local service organizations
as a means of identifying and placing candidates .
Ensuring our recruits are assigned meaningful work is essential to an effective transition. This allows them to see their individual net worth to actual project efforts and re-enforces individual skills necessary to function effectively in the workforce.
We strive to make our new personnel feel part of the team. Doing so helps our transitioning veterans gain confidence that they are a valued asset in today’s workforce.
Providing Effective Evaluation
Upon on-boarding to the WBB team, a designated mentor is assigned to new employees in order to help them adjust to their new environment, answer questions, and direct them to valuable company resources in order to help them perform at their optimal capability.
Mentors work with employees to establish a structured, regularly scheduled evaluation of their performance to ensure that expectations from both parties are being met and the employee is adequately equipped with all knowledge and resources to successfully achieve their professional goals and ultimately improve their workforce abilities.
Appealing Work Environment
We work with new employees to provide a work environment and experience that aligns as closely as possible with the candidate’s individual capabilities and interests.
Providing the Best Compensation
WBB provides competitive compensation for our hard-working personnel. Upon completion of contract term, we work on placing transitioning personnel in permanent positions either internally at WBB or externally with the help of local veteran non-profits.
