Appointed in 2004 as NASA's Deputy Associate Administrator for Development Programs in the newly formed Exploration Systems Mission Directorate
Responsible for technology and space transportation systems in support of the nation's vision of human and robotic space exploration
Served the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for 30 years, including nearly five years as a member of the Senior Executive Service
Managed major aircraft system development, acquisition, operations and support as Deputy Program Executive Officer for Navy Tactical Aircraft Programs including the F/A-18, F-14, EA-6B and E-2C aircraft and air-to-air weapons
