Interactive Courseware Development
Interactive Courseware (ICW)
Distance Learning / Computer-Based Training (CBT) and Interactive Courseware have become important elements in the DoD's overall approach to training in the 21st Century. The Interactive Courseware, or ICW component, is computer controlled courseware that relies on trainee input to determine the pace, sequence and content of academic information. Difficult concepts are grasped easily as the trainee advances through a sequence of interactive events via logical decisions and selections designed to accomplish learning objectives.
WBB recognized early that developing academic training materials is not just a regurgitation of technical data; accordingly, we established a team and a process committed to providing our customers with high-quality ICW support. The process we follow includes:
- Putting the end-user(s) in the loop during the ICW development phase
- Taking advantage of the expertise associated with a program's developmental and operational testing phase and capturing critical operational lessons learned and initial tactical considerations associated with a new weapons system
- Utilizing end-user inputs and validation throughout development
- Ensuring the "Joint" question (if applicable) gets answered
- Delivering academic materials when needed (both testers and end-users)
- WBB uses to develop interactive products for our customers.
- We believe our value-added is both in our ability to interpret training objectives from a warfighter point of view and effectively integrate testers, contractors, schoolhouses and warfighters to attain training objectives.
- We have current knowledge of the Joint Battlespace and Joint Systems and subject-matter experts from all services. Our end product is a collaborative effort that meets all stakeholder objectives by incorporating end-users all the way through the training product development process.
