Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA)

Independent Logistics Assessments are conducted to assess all aspects of product support planning and implementation for acquisition programs. This assessment addresses the effectiveness of life-cycle management, integration of sustainment tasks to the master schedule, documentation required for Milestone decisions, and the plan to achieve supportability parameters. It also identifies gaps in logistics planning and implementation relative to major acquisition milestones and decision points.

WBB developed the U.S. Air Force ILA process and handbook. WBB has also developed Independent Logistics Assessment as an independent team member to provide the honest broker perspective. Our disciplined approach to conducting these assessments identifies barriers to fielding systems with support apparatus in place. WBB also works with Program Managers on strategic planning to develop strategies to overcome these barriers and to optimize the warfighter's ability to meet mission performance requirements.
