How Washington Works Training Course

DoD Budget Process: Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) Processes with Corresponding Service (USA, USAF, USN, USMC) Modules

WBB offers hard-hitting, comprehensive DoD-centric training courses in one and two-day packages to government and industry clients who work directly in or with the DOD capabilities/requirements and acquisition communities. This "How Washington Works" course is derived from the highly-praised Requirements and Acquisition Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) "Survival" Course developed in 1995 by WBB for the Director of Air Warfare (N88) and taught to all newly arriving Action Officers and Flag Officers.

Due to the success of this course and word-of-mouth demand, the senior level course has been taught on an individual basis to over 100 Flag/General Officers and Senior Executive Service (SES) including the Under Secretary of the Navy. At the Action Officer level, this course taught over a thousand military officers, government service civilians, and industry executives and business developers the intricacies of programming and budgeting in the Washington and government environments.

Industry Clients include: ATK, BAE, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, ITT, Lockheed Martin, Lucent, Sikorsky, Kaiser, Raytheon, and L3Com.

The Course that covers programming, budgeting processes, and more is specifically composed of the following modules, each of which is tailored to meet the client's needs for an introduction to DoD:
